On 18th July 2017 the office bearers of the Defence Society Residents Association led by Mr. Sharfuddin Memon called on Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah at his office. The discussion revolved round the pressing problems faced by the residents in the city in general and in Defence in particular. The Chief Minister also being a resident of DHA said that he was cognizant of the problems faced by the residents specially shortage of water street crimes, encroachment specially under the Gizri bridge, traffic jams undertaken in the area. He promised to speak with the MD / KW&SB regarding increase in water supply. He also agreed to call meeting of all stake holders ie DHA, CBC, KW&SB and DSRA soon to sort out the residents problems.
